About the editor

Yuri Hosokawa serves as the Medical & Science Advisory Board at the Korey Stringer Institute (KSI). Her research interests include prevention and education of sudden death in sport, establishing best practices in road race medicine, development of regional-specific heat guidelines and exploring the roles of genetics in the susceptibility of exertional heat stroke. She has lead inter-agency projects to advance interdisciplinary work among athletic, occupational, and military medicine with public health and biometeorology to improve resilience to extreme heat among physically active population. She is a member of the International Committee of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, a member of the International Institute for Race Medicine Ambassador Program Committee, and serves as a science advisor for Sport Safety Japan, NPO.
