About the author

Steven Marcus, M.D., is the Executive Director of the New Jersey Poison Information and Education System. He is also Professor of the Department of Emergency Medicine and Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School. With over thirty years of medical, clinical, and forensic toxicology, Marcus recounts specific experiences from his career that were particularly unique or puzzling and pairs each mystery with its scientific explanation.
